Process and deliver firewood to families who burn wood for heat. 

Wood is donated by local tree trimmers.

Active for almost 15 years. Started by former pastor Sydnor Thompson.

Wednesdays: 1-3pm, Foothills Correction Center Bible Study

Christmas Meal: FUMC volunteers fix meal or provide part of a meal for 1000 inmates and correction officers 

Burke United Christian Ministries is a community missional organization for which FUMC members volunteer.

Fourth Monday Meal Group: 8:30am-1pm

Prepares a community lunch.

Third Saturday Meal Group: 8:30am-11am

Prepares a community breakfast.

Mobile Food Pantry

FUMC Volunteers organize and distribute food for Burke county residents.

FUMC and Calvary Lutheran co-sponsor food backpacks for students at Forest Hill Elementary School students identified by staff. 

FUMC volunteers help Forest Hill Elementary School students during lunch to provide relief for teachers. 

Emergency Shelter Network provides shelter for local unhoused individuals during extreme weather conditions. FUMC volunteers work shifts during hours of operation.
